Happy 4th Anniversary!

Oh wow, has it really been another year? The months seem to be going in quicker every year – must be a sign that I’m getting old (ﾟωﾟ；)
I know I’ve been completely absent for the last 2 or so months but I really just want to thank everyone who has taken the time to visit my little corner of the internet & read any of my posts – it’s a really great motivation to keep the site going!

It’s time for the yearly “time to update y’all on my life” segment – skip to the next picture if you don’t want to be bored out of your mind! (´･_･`) 
So basically, as I mentioned last year, I was diagnosed with a chronic health condition (not life threatening – just a nuisance) that causes me mild/moderate troubles in my personal life. I am still on medication & liasing with my doctor but I’m managing to muddle through so that’s all that matters.

However, I really was sturggling at my work so I made the decision to change jobs – my new job is less physical but unfortunately is less pay so that sucks – I’ll have to be managing just how many games I buy, I guess it’s time to start clearing that backlog!

I also made the decision to start a degree in Feburary & am currently studing an IT & Software honours degree part-time (well, it’s still meant to be 30hrs per week of study). I think that this was the best decision for my future in light of my health but it means that I’m going to be quite busy for the next couple of years. One bonus is that I bought a new laptop though & it gives me less migraines than the old one – yay!

As for the blog, I have two game reviews – Black Wolves Saga & Yoshiwara Higanbana that I need to finish up & post so expect them out in September. I’ve also dusted off the Starry Sky games & intend to play them all soon-ish, I figured it would be nice to revisit the game that made me fall in love with the Otome genre.

I plan to start posting more regularly again, but posts might be slightly less often – I’m thinking once every two weeks or something? I think that’s probably more realistic. Posts will mainly still be game reviews due to my long backlog. I lowkey want to review all of Azusa’s drama CDs though since I’ve run out of Dialovers games to speak about, haha. (I’m honestly tempted to review both anime series too…)

In other exciting news, I will be visiting Japan for the first time ever in Novemeber – there’s literally no words for how HYPED I am. ヽ(*⌒∇⌒*)ﾉ It’s the first time I’ll have been abroad in years & my first trip alone (I don’t have any weeb friends IRL). I did think about going to AGF but decided against it due to the crowds & temptetion to throw money at goods I don’t need. ( ་ ⍸ ་ )
I’ll be going to the Enstars Dream Live @ Makuhari Messe though which I’m really looking forward to – I’m going to both versions of the concert of course! (I’m only really going to the Refract concert for Rei haha).
After that, I intend to be kinda touristy & go do Tokyo Disney/Disney Sea. My second week in Japan will be spent in Tokyo so of course I’ll be hitting Akihabara & Ikebukuro for my weeb needs. Due to this, I won’t be ordering any upcoming games because I plan on picking them up while I’m over there!

So, as you may be able to tell, I’ve spent much of the year playing mobage, i.e. Enstars again. I have tried pretty much all of the newer mobage aimed at girls but for some reason Enstars in the only one that I’ve continued to play. The last 18 months were a tough time for Rei fans, with him having too many new cards (I ranked in T1 for both of his rank cards *internal screaming*) so hopefully my bank balance can get a break for once. Luckily all Switch events have been mild. Thankfully the scouting gods have been relatively kind to me recently so I hope that continues. I also bought the limited editions of all 12 albums which was an expensive endeavour but totally worth it for how nicely they line up on my shelf. I haven’t had a chance to check out the anime yet since it’s not streaming in the UK but I’ve pre-ordered the DVDs so I’m looking forward to getting them!

So basically you can expect all of the usual *quality* content from this blog to continue for another year – with plenty of reviews to come over the next 12 months, with special posts dotted in between!
