Hello! First of all, I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read my little blog! Knowing that people are actually reading (and hopefully enjoying) my posts really increases my motivation to keep writing so I’m super grateful! m(_ _)m
This post will mostly be a reflection on the past year and also some things to look forward to~
I was taking a look at last year’s anniversary post and I’m kinda ashamed that I haven’t really implemented many of the things I had intended. I haven’t managed to review many English games yet because I genuinely just tend to spend my money on Japanese releases. However, I did buy some on sale on steam a couple of months ago so hopefully will make time to review them 😀
Anime & Manga reviews will maybe be implemented at some point in the future. I’m kinda unsure about it though as my taste in them tends to be very different to my taste in games/drama CDs so don’t really live up to the whole 恋愛/romance theme of the blog.
I’ve done a couple of unboxings over the past year, which are quite fun posts to make. I plan to do another couple in September/October when I get my delivery of fandiscs, haha 😛
On a more personal note, my working hours have changed fairly recently so that I do more hours over fewer days, which works out better in the long run but does have a downside in the fact that I don’t have time to do much except eat and sleep on the days that I do work. This means that I won’t always be able to check this blog every day so I sincerely apologise for taking a couple of days to reply to comments!
On the plus side, having more days off means that I can happily devote roughly 20 hours a week to Otome Games, which should hopefully help me deal with my seemingly impenetrable backlog. I think that I should be able to finish around 12 games by the end of the year if I work hard! My current plan is to play the following games:
- Kenka Bancho Otome
- Shinobi, Koi Utsutsu
- Uta no Prince-Sama Repeat Love
- Tsukitomo
- Shiro to Kuro no Alice
- Side Kicks!
- Diabolik Lovers Limited V Edition
- Taishou x Alice Heads & Tails
- Tokyo Yamanote Boys for V Fan Disc
- Crank in!
- Moujuu-tachi to Ohime-sama ~in blossom~
- Nil Admirari no Tenbin Kuroyuri En’youtan
- Yuukyuu no Tierblade -Fragments of Memory-
- Usotsuki Shangrila
The final 6 on the list aren’t technically released yet but I hope to get round to them fairly quickly after their release date.
I’d also like to be able to finish off some games I abandoned ages ago – Dance with Devils, Yunohana Spring & Suuran Digit by this blog’s 3rd anniversary, haha.
I managed to write 36 posts over the past year which is something I’m pretty happy about but my goal is still one post per week, preferably on a Friday. My plan for this is to hopefully review a game every two weeks and fill in the spaces with drama cd impressions posts. I had kinda gone off drama CDs again for a while because I’m super duper lazy *yawn*. I ended up buying a bunch of new releases though and picked up some backlog releases in Skit Dolce’s summer sale so have quite a few to get through. The CDs I want to post about soon are the following:
- Otodoke Kareshi volume 1
- Shuukyoku no Dolls volume 1
It would also be nice to finish off reviewing the √HAPPY+SUGAR=DARLIN & Yotogi HoLiC series at some point soon too!

I clearly need an ikemen to encourage me to listen to my CDs too.
I’ve really been enjoying writing out the monthly otome game release posts as it helps me make sure that I don’t miss out on anything! I was considering doing something similar for drama CDs but wasn’t sure if there’d be any interest in it so I plan to put up a poll on the blog’s sidebar pretty soon. I’d really appreciate it if you could fill it in, thank you! (⌒▽⌒)☆
So what have I been doing for the past year? Well, unfortunately, I’ve been dragged kicking and screaming into mobile game hell. It started in Feburary/March with the release of A3!. I was drawn in by the simple game play, good story and the fun characters and have been pretty hooked ever since! Why are my biases’ merchandise so expensive though?! Shortly after, I managed to stumble onto the existence of Switch and ended up going back to Ensemble Stars after ignoring it for well over a year. Ranking in events is as painful as ever *cries*
10/10 would not recommend playing either game if you actually care about your soul, sanity and bank balance.
100+ rolls on each gatcha and I never got either of those cards. It’s been months and I’m still salty about it! (ಥ﹏ಥ)
I’ve also got a couple of housekeeping-type things to do with the blog such as updating the shopping guide to include more sites & fixing the tags on many posts so that I can add a tag cloud to the sidebar, making it easier to search of seiyuu or series relevant to your interests.
So I think that’s about it for now. Thank you for reading as always and here’s to another fun year that is (hopefully) filled with fun games and plenty of ikemen~ これからもよろしくね!
Congrats on your 2nd anniversary! I enjoy reading your game impressions and look forward to more. I know that feeling of an overwhelming backlog well. Feels like there’s always more games I want to play than I can ever possibly get around to.
